Mexico arrangements-English-April 2015

Visa lodgement and processing arrangements for clients from Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Cuba

Visa and citizenship by descent applications from clients applying from Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Cuba will be lodged and processed at the Australian High Commission in Ottawa, Canada:

NOTE: From 13 April 2015, the Australian Government will commence collecting biometrics from clients applying for Australian visas in Mexico.

Documents

All visa applications should include copies of original documents. Passports should not be sent with the visa application unless requested by the Department.

EXCEPTION: Supporting documents submitted for citizenship by descent applications on paper must be certified copies.

Documents in languages other than English or Spanish must be accompanied by accredited English translations.

EXCEPTION: Supporting documents submitted for citizenship by descent application that are in languages other than English must be accompanied by English translations.
