Consular, Notarial and Passport Services in Canada
All consular, notarial and passport services are by appointment only. Appointments can be booked online using the links below.
Client should speak with a consular officer before arranging travel for notarial services. Some notarial services are not available at the Australian Consulate Vancouver or the Australian Consulate-General Toronto and therefore, clients may be required to arrange these notarial services with a consular officer at the Australian High Commission in Ottawa (For Notarial services click here).
For all enquires on visas, immigration and citizenship (including biometrics) for Australia please contact the Department of Home Affairs by phoning their Global Service Centre in Australia on: 011 61 2 6196 0196. The Australian High Commission Ottawa and our Australian Consulates in Toronto and Vancouver cannot assist with these enquiries.
Passport application by mail
Adults using the one-page Adult Passport Renewal Application (Form PC7) may apply by mail using a PC7 mail application kit.
From 3 January 2023, child renewal applications, for children aged 15 or younger, using the five-page Application for an Australian Passport Overseas (Form PC8) may also apply by mail. Please refer to the PC8 mail application kit.
Mail applications must be lodged with the correct office according to the province or territory where you are located (below).
Please note we do not accept mail applications from outside Canada (except Bermuda).

Your personal information (including your name and contact details) will be collected by DFAT via Setmore to book your appointment and for related purposes. If this information is not collected, DFAT's ability to arrange your appointment will be limited.
