Consular, Notarial and Passport Services in Canada
 

All consular, notarial and passport services are by appointment only. Appointments can be booked online using the links below.

 

Client should speak with a consular officer before arranging travel for notarial services. Some notarial services are not available at the Australian Consulate Vancouver or the Australian Consulate-General Toronto and therefore, clients may be required to arrange these notarial services with a consular officer at the Australian High Commission in Ottawa (For Notarial services click here).

For all enquires on visas, immigration and citizenship (including biometrics) for Australia please contact the Department of Home Affairs by phoning their Global Service Centre in Australia on: 011 61 2 6196 0196. The Australian High Commission Ottawa and our Australian Consulates in Toronto and Vancouver cannot assist with these enquiries.

Passport application by mail

Adults using the one-page Adult Passport Renewal Application (Form PC7) may apply by mail using a PC7 mail application kit.

From 3 January 2023, child renewal applications, for children aged 15 or younger, using the five-page Application for an Australian Passport Overseas (Form PC8) may also apply by mail. Please refer to the PC8 mail application kit. 

Mail applications must be lodged with the correct office according to the province or territory where you are located (below).


Please note we do not accept mail applications from outside Canada (except Bermuda).

  Notice: appointments cannot be made more
  than two months in advance. All available
  appointments are shown on the booking page.
  We are unable to assist with an earlier appointment
  unless you can provide proof that you require
  an emergency passport for urgent travel.
  Pre-booked vacation travel is not considered an
  emergency. Clients can regularly monitor the
  booking page for possible cancellations. Clients
  can also book an appointment in advance to
  lodge a passport application in Toronto  or Ottawa

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) uses third-party software (Setmore) to manage the High Commission's appointments.  Your personal information (including your name and contact details) will be collected by DFAT via Setmore to book your appointment and for related purposes.  By proceeding with this booking, you are consenting to the collection of this information by Setmore on DFAT's behalf for these purposes.  If this information is not collected, DFAT's ability to arrange your appointment will be limited.  Your personal information will be handled by Setmore in accordance with Setmore's Privacy Policy, and by DFAT in accordance with DFAT's Privacy Policy.
