How to apply for High Commission job vacancies
Please note that these instructions apply to job vacancies at the Ottawa High Commission only. Please refer to the position description document for details about the application process for vacancies at the Australian consulates in Canada.
When submitting applications for vacancies at the High Commission, please send materials in Word or PDF format only.
There are three documents that must be submitted in response to LES vacancies. Applications will not be considered if they do not include the following:

Include an up-to-date two page CV which details relevant work experience, and lists most recent or current employment.
3. 1-2 page pitch
1-2 page pitch of no more than 750 words addressing the eligibility and other requirements for this position and outlining how your skills experience and qualifications make you the best candidate for this opportunity.

Temporary Employment Register
The Australian High Commission maintains a Temporary Employment Register (TER) which is open to candidates wanting to submit an expression of interest for temporary, non-ongoing employment at the Australian High Commission. The TER enables us to temporarily employ appropriately highly skilled, motivated and experienced individuals at short notice for short - term (fixed term) contracts.
